We’ve all talked to someone whose mind is somewhere else.
They're only half paying attention to you. We’ve all been that person at some point as well. However your body, unlike your wandering mind, lives fully in the present. Your soma absorbs information from your environment constantly. |

An essential part of being embodied, and feeling strong and confident, is to have clear communication with your body. I’ve found that enhancing my relationship with my body improves not only my somatic awareness and intuition, but my ability to perform in a way that inspires standing ovations.
We spend large chunk of our lives criticizing and fixing our bodies. Our eyelashes, hair, lips, shoulders, stomach, hands, thighs, butt, feet, skin. We hide it, pinch it, tuck it, squeeze it, stuff it, squish it.
I've often wondered, what would happen if I fully loved and accepted my body?
What would I start doing differently? What would I stop doing immediately?
And, how would I spend all that additional free time?!
We can't talk about feminine leadership without talking about the physical form. Body love is powerful, earth-shaking stuff. Move slowly and gently to integrate today’s practice activity. You don’t have to be on stage to give your body a standing ovation.

Today, take time to restore a positive connection to your body. First, find a quiet place and stand in front of a mirror. This is one of my favorite gratitude meditations. Begin by touching different parts of your body. As you do, thank each part for how it makes your life awesome. Give thanks to the palms of your hands, your knees, your forehead. Appreciate your lips, toes, and skin. Take your time and focus on any body parts that are in need of a little extra TLC. Make sure to not only say the words, but to feel them. Then notice how your body responds to all that gratitude. When you are ready, try the activity again in the nude. In your journal, write about how it feels to worship your body.
